Obese child, sick adult

Obese child, sick adult is a motto that every one of us should know. It has the noble goal of caring for the health of the world’s population.

Obese children are more likely to develop diseases in adulthood. Polish children are already at the forefront of obese children. So it’s time to change that! Starting with the education of parents and educational institutions, as they have the most impact on the nutritional decisions of children.

I have repeatedly stressed that excessive body weight carries health consequences that can not only be felt by an adult. In childhood and adolescence, we can already diagnose hypertension, atherosclerosis or diabetes caused by an abnormal lifestyle and an abnormal diet.

No or minimal amount of exercise per day causes weight gain. This slows down the rate of metabolism, increases the risk of carbohydrate and lipid disorders (unregulated levels of glucose, cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood) and often occurring intestinal dysbiosis (disorders of the intestinal microflora, which affects the functioning and functioning of many systems).

This means an increased risk of significantly more serious diseases in adulthood, such as cardiovascular disease, complications of diabetes, osteoporosis, malnutrition or malnutrition.

A diet based on fast food products and rich in sweets and carbonated drinks containing high amounts of sugar is high energy, which in a small meal volume provides huge amounts of calories, negatively affecting the body saturated fatty acids and simple sugar. What together with low physical activity contributes to the formation of excess weight in each of us.

Therefore, a balanced diet, limiting the time spent in front of the TV and computer, and increasing physical activity are healthy eating habits that are learned at a young age and are of great importance in later life.

Appeal to parents and teachers to take care of the health of children for them to enjoy health longer in their lives!!
